- Alley Cat Allies - promoting compassion and humane care for America's feral cat population. Contains many excellent articles.
Local no-kill shelters
- Alliance for Animals - a non-profit humane organization in Massachusetts including a no-kill shelter and a low-cost veterinary services clinic.
- Pat Brody Shelter for Cats, a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter in Lunenburg, Massachusetts.
Information sites
- Cornell Feline Health Center at Cornell University - articles on many feline health topics including FIV, FeLV, diabetes, vaccinations, choosing a new cat and feeding.
- The Cat Site, a community of people who love cats, with many informational articles on feline issues, including an excellent article on FIV.

- Massachusetts Animal Coalition - A coalition of animal welfare organizations in Massachusetts and sponsor of the Massachusetts "Animal Friendly" license plate, proceeds from the sale of which are distributed as grants to shelters in the state. Click on the plate for more information.
- Hugs for Homeless Animals - a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to homeless and displaced animals. Contains a directory of shelters worldwide.
- PETsMART Charities, which sponsors our Adoption Days. This site has informative articles on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering.
- The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) Cat Care page, with videos on "Finding the Perfect Cat" and "Making Toys for Your Cat", plus care, behavior and health information.

Kitty Angels has been chosen by Especially for Pets in Sudbury to partner in their program called Especially for Pets in the Community: The Adoption Initiative.

Two years ago, Especially for Pets instituted a new program called Especially for Pets in the Community: The Adoption Initiative. Especially for Pets has teamed up with local non-profits and rescue organizations to promote pets available for adoption as well as to raise awareness about the work being done in the rescue community. It is their ultimate goal to educate their customers about what the specific organizations do, to collect donations for their use and, ultimately to help the organizations to place homeless animals in permanent, loving homes. In 2007, they collected over $8000 in product and donations for local non-profits as a result of this program.

Especially for Pets, an independent pet supply retailer with six locations in Massachusetts, is committed to educating their customers and making a difference in their communities. Especially for Pets is dedicated to responsible pet care and their retail stores serve as venues for teaching and educating the public. As a company, they recognize their responsibility to contribute to the solution of the overwhelming problem of homeless and abandoned animals.
